Electromagnetic (EM) labels
Dialoc ID offers double and single side adhesive tags for library books. The standard Dialoc ID electromagnetic (EM) label is the HP (Advanced High Performance) library tail tag. This archival book tag has been developed by Dialoc ID and the National Institute for those libraries that were concerned not only with the possibility of book theft, but also with the protection of the physical integrity of library materials.
The paper, film and adhesive used in the archival book tag are essentially PH-neutral, which means that they have little or no acidic or alkaline properties. Consequently, these tags can be placed into books and on documents with the confidence that over time, they will not damage chemically the books and yellowing the paper.
Properties of the archival tag (AHP):
- special paper
- low acidity, low alkaline adhesive
- high performance amorphous signal material
- individually packed with long tails for ease of insertion
